Hyperhidrosis is a skin condition where a person sweats too much, more than what is needed to regulate body temperature, and it affects their quality of life.

There are two types of hyperhidrosis: primary, which usually affects a specific area and has no known cause, and secondary, which affects the whole body and is caused by an underlying medical condition or medication.

There are different treatments for primary hyperhidrosis, including surgery and non-surgical options. One effective treatment is injecting small doses of botulinum toxin (commonly referred to as Botox), which is a very powerful poison but when used in small amounts, can help reduce sweating. Botulinum toxin is used when other treatments have not worked.

Dr Nadereh commonly administers botulinum toxin for excessive sweating and other conditions.
